Starfire Solutions Pty Ltd is a regional development consultancy company based in Bundaberg and with offices in Yeppoon and Ipswich, Queensland. We assist individuals and organisations to realise their desires to make regional communities even greater places to work and live.
Towards this vision, we provide practical planning, management and advice in regional economic development – including business, arts, cultural and tourism development expertise.

Starfire Solutions has proven its claim as ‘specialists in community engagement’ in virtually all of its projects to date. This has been demonstrated by Director Neil McPhillips’ ANZRSAI Regional Development Practitioner Award of Excellence 2006 - Highly Commended Award (ANZRSAI: Australia & New Zealand Regional Science Association International Inc).

NORTH BURNETT REGION FUTURES...
In November 2008, Starfire Solutions was contracted to deliver the North Burnett Region Futures Program. This initiative is modelled on the Bundaberg Futures Program, in which Neil McPhillips has been principal consultant for a number of years. TRAINING GOING GREAT GUNS...
Starfire Solutions has been busy working with Our Community and BSI Learning delivering the Certificate IV in Business (Governance), a four day accredited program aimed at the community and not-for-profit sector. This Certificate IV has been enormously popular throughout the country and is well-known for its practicality and accessibility. The course is designed to be run over four consecutive days, but the training can be tailored for any organisation or any specific needs...
REGIONAL ARTS SERVICE DELIVERY...
Creative Regions Ltd, formed in 2008, has received funding from both Arts Queensland and the Australia Council to deliver regional cultural services in the eastern Central Queensland and Eastern South West Queensland regions during 2009.
- Facilitating focus group sessions in order to
map the sector and prioritise activities
- Assist with developing priority projects and
with funding these for 2010
- Deliver Culture ClinicsTM – free arts management consultations (by appointment)
- Develop an online portal for regional cultural
development
- Undertake networking activities with key stakeholders
COUNCIL CORPORATE PLANNING SERVICES...
Neil McPhillips and Brett de Chastel have been working on a number of Local Government Corporate Plans, facilitating community consultation sessions, working with the community, Councillors, Directors and Staff on key issues and drafting recommendations.
Corporate Planning work to date has been undertaken in:

- Cassowary Coast Regional Council
- Longreach Regional Council
